Quoting myself from my review: I think part of the reason Niobe is my favorite character is that I started out assuming she would be the least interesting. That she ‘saves the day’ not once but twice is to both her credit and Jim's as the writer—so many others would have just pushed her to the background after giving her a single moment in the spotlight. I also really liked Epimetheus (and all his animal friends), so it was great to see him and Niobe developing a sympathetic relationship.

If you mean Celaeno, yup, that was me. It was a no-brainer for me. I like most of the characters in the story, especially the current favorite, Epimetheus, but no one comes close to Celaeno. One of the things I value most in my reading material is humor (I love comic books, but comic strips were my first love and Mad magazine was my second love), and Celaeno is easily the funniest character in your book. I also love her strength, her toughness, her fearlessness and her refusal to sugarcoat her opinions. And you've gotta love a woman who likes her steak raw! If you do a sequel, please give Celaeno plenty of screen time. I can't get enough of her.
